Core Features
High Resolution A2+ Scanning
The WideTEK® 25 flatbed scanner takes advantage of CCD technology, utilising a light source, mirrors, lens and image sensors to deliver high resolution scans up to 1200 x 1200dpi. The scanner is able to scan images up to A2+ (18.5in. x 25in.) in a multitude of formats including TIFF, JPEG and PDF.
Unmatched Colour Accuracy
The scanner handles 36-bit colour meaning it’s capable of capturing 68 billion colours, after gamma, white and black point correction and other image operations are performed on the 36-bit data, the best 24-bits are outputted. This ensures scans benefit from low noise and rapid transfer whilst ensuring quality is not lost. Whilst extremely colour accurate out of the box, the scanner can be ICC profiled in either Adobe RGB or sRGB colour spaces and produces print ready scans without the need for image manipulation or post processing.
Scans in as Little as 3 Seconds
As the scanner utilises 2 LED bars there is no warm up time and a scan at the largest 18.5in. x 25in. format requires less than 3 seconds in normal mode at 300dpi and only 12 seconds in 3D mode at 600dpi.
2D & 3D Scanning
The revolutionary 3D scanning mode opens many new opportunities in Fine Art Printing, allowing users to capture paper surface textures, art materials such as acrylic and oil and any other textured pieces to give the perception of depth.
The WideTEK 25 has two LED lamps, twice as many as the competition. With the new diffusors, these lamps produce an extremely homogeneous illumination which eliminates all unwanted shadows caused by folds, wrinkles and other distortions of the scanned object.
Compact Desktop Size
The scanner measures 222 x 760 x 795 mm (8.7 x 30 x 31.3in.) meaning the scanner is only slightly wider that the total scanning area. The new scratch resistant, non-reflective glass plate has been expanded to reach the edges of the flatbed scanner, making it 100% protective of the documents laid on it.
User Friendly Interface
The user friendly interface is accessed through a web browser meaning that it’s suitable for both PC and Mac users. Alternatively there is an option to scan straight to a USB drive.
Warranty
All scanners come with a free 1 year RTB warranty with a full parts and labour warranty is also available for up to 5 years.
