Our Story
It all began in a barn in 1983 with the origin of Nova Darkroom and the innovative ‘Nova Slot Processor’, renowned for making life easier for darkroom printers.
The company developed with the digital era which saw the birth of PermaJet inkjet media in 1999. The growth continued each year, and PermaJet successfully launched Europe’s first CIS Bulk Ink System in 2001. We were an instrumental part of the launch of the first digital Fibre Based/Baryta materials which emulated the traditional darkroom paper.
Using our technical expertise, manufacturing experience and knowledge gained throughout our history, PermaJet has constantly pushed the boundaries of inkjet technology, proven by numerous awards over the years. 25 years of extensive technical inkjet knowledge and our advanced FREE ICC Profiling services are all provided to help amateurs and professionals alike produce that all important perfect print.
PermaJet’s comprehensive range of inkjet media includes something for everyone, from the avid home-printer, exhibition creators and high-volume professional labs alike.
Our inkjet papers and accessories are suitable for all digital photographic printing applications – Photo Papers such as High Gloss, Oyster Satin/Lustre, Matt and Double-sided, as well as cotton rag and alpha cellulose giclée Fine Art and Baryta Fibre Papers. We have a wide range of inkjet canvases for art and photography reproduction too.

Nova Darkroom was established
Nova Darkroom Equipment began in 1983 manufacturing the ‘Nova Slot Processor’ which made life easy for the darkroom printer.
Move to Warwick
As Nova Darkroom expanded, the company moved from a local barn to it’s first purpose built premises in Warwick.
PermaJet was established
PermaJet was established with one aim: to deliver a range of high quality inkjet papers to suit everyone who is serious about their photography and image printing.
The Imaging Warehouse Group was formed
The Imaging Warehouse was formed which brought together PermaJet and Nova Darkroom under one roof.
Moved to purpose built Warehouse in Stratford-upon-Avon
As the company expanded we moved to a purpose built ware house overlooking the Stratford-upon-Avon countryside.
The Imaging Warehouse acquires Online Paper
We acquired Online Paper to further establish ourselves within the inkjet media market. Distributing all of the most popular brands!
The introduction of Premier Ink & Paper
Premier Ink distributes Original and Compatible ink cartridges as well as inkjet paper to the hobbyist and amateur user.
