This Multifunction Roll Unit RU-43 from Canon is a multifunction roll unit for the imagePROGRAF PRO-4100/4600 44″ Professional Photographic Large-Format Inkjet Printers.

The Canon RU-43 Multifunction Roll System enhances the functionality of your imagePROGRAF PRO-4100/4600 printer. When installed, this system allows users to load a second roll of media into the printer or set up a bi-directional take-up unit.

The dual-roll feeding mechanism can be used for fast swapping between two different types of media or just having two of the same rolls for high-volume jobs. The bi-directional rewinding method can help by letting users set up a take-up unit, and they will be able to choose whether the printed surface is on the inside or outside of the roll.
