The club’s roots go back to the mid sixties when some enthusiasts got together at the back of Don Reed’s photographic shop near the primary school in High Road, Benfleet.   We now meet on Monday evenings between 1st September and 1st June in St Georges Church Hall, Rushbottom Lane, Benfleet.   If you have a Sat Nav you can use the post code SS7 4DN.

We meet at 7:45 p.m. for 8:00 p.m. start. and meetings are typically attended by about 40 members.   We also run a periodic studio or training nights which are held on a Tuesday evening in the same venue, at the same time, for which there is an additional charge to cover our costs, viz hire of the hall.   Also during the month there may also be an additional members evening arranged which might be visits to various local venues outside where we can meet up, take photos and have a chat.   Places suggested for these visits are Maldon/Heybridge Basin, Coalhouse Fort, Manningtree and London.   These evenings out could be on any day of the week or even Sunday afternoons.   When arranged, details will be announced in the club notices, and published on the web site and/or Facebook.
