About Malou
Malou Reedorf is a young and serious working photographer and picture-maker. She has an academic background and her creativity happens to be well prepared and systematic. It means planned from scratch to the final photograph. At the same time it means easy to work together with as plans don’t take different directions all the time.
She grew up in the Nordic countries with strong aesthetic minimalistic design and handles it to perfection but loves to combine with extravagant and colourful lifestyle. She also is a great makeup-artist
Malou is often located outside Milano in Italy but works all over the world.
Malou became a member of the Danish Professional Photographic Society very young and claims that she has been active for 24 years (born 1989) as her parents always brought her to the annual events.
November 2011 she became the youngest photographer ever to achieve the title “dff-mMaster Photographer”
2014 she achieved the high standard “QEP” meaning Qualified European Photographer and is obtained by a limited number of European photographers.
Shortly after she got 3 gold prizes for avant-garde portraits which meant she is the highest ranking young photographer in Europe 2014 and receives the “Golden Camera Award” in Cologne at a ceremony
August 2014 Malou Reedorf have been accepted into the Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s 2014 International Photographic Competition.
As an extra honour, one of the Merited Images is selected for inclusion in the 2014 PPA Showcase Book. Furthermore, she became Photographer of the year in Denmark (2015) and received the European Fashion Silver Camera from Federation of European Professional Photographers in 2017. She also obtained Licentiate from SWPP (2017) and has been judging the European image competition for Federation of European Professional Photographers as well as many national competitions. She is an ambassador for PermaJet and creates several workshops around Europe.
Malou Reedorf is involved in many different projects. She is the editor and graphic designer on two magazines, one International (Creative Photography) and one Danish (Lifestyle magazine). She has also done several spin-off business.
