" A photo can fill spaces that words cannot reach." For me photography is a means of self expression, an art form that allows us to portray reality and fantasy side by side.
I've been taking photo's for over twenty years. In that time I have made many friends both at home and abroad. I enjoy all aspects of photography. In each photograph the challenge is the same - I strive to portray a mood or feeling that goes beyond the image itself and connects with the viewer.
I was a member of Dundalk Photographic Society for 21 years, one of Irelands premier clubs. In 2010 we rose to the dizzy heights of FIAP World Club champions, a marvellous achievement for a relatively small indigenous club. I was thrilled to have four images on the winning panel.
In 2010 I gained a Fellowship in the RPS and in 2011 I was awarded the MFIAP distinction after being nominated to apply by the Irish Photographic Federation. Today I divide my spare time between judging and lecturing to camera clubs and societies. To date I have amassed over 200 awards for my photography.
Due to my success in FIAP and PSA competitions I've been honoured to judge and speak at major international salons such as the SAUD AL-THANI AWARD for photography and the TRIERENBURG SUPER CIRCUIT and also some of the UK and Ireland's top salons.
I am currently a member of Drogheda Photographic Club where I continue to enjoy and share my photography
I'm delighted to be part of the Permajet Lecturers team and I have used and enjoyed their excellent products for many years.
