Colour Printing Issues

Symptoms:

• My prints come out all black.
• My prints have a Magenta or Cyan cast to them.
• My yellow ink is blue

Solutions:
If your prints have a violent colour cast to them, then check and ensure that the right inks are connected to the right tubes. Pay particular attention that the light magenta and light cyan have not been exchanged with magenta and cyan. If your colour sequence is wrong, then this is the problem.
If you have not connected the right tube to the right colour bottle, this will cause major colour problems. On the top of the cartridge, as installed in the printer, looking down on the carts, from left to right the colours are K,C,Lc,M,Lm,Y on a six colour printer (1270/1290). Trace your lines back to the bottles to double-check your installation. If there is a problem, you will need a new PermaFlow cart to remedy it.

The final thing to check is if you are using PermaJet papers, the use of our appropriate paper profiles will usually solve colour balance issues which may be causing the colour casts.
