Purge Files

Printing a purge file is a good way to establish if your printer is working and functioning correctly or to see if the ink is flowing within the heads as it should.

Printing this file can rectify and improve the flow of ink through the heads and clear any partial nozzels.

It is IMPORTANT when printing this document that you select the correct file for your printer i.e. 6,7 or 8 colour printing system. When printing the document ensure that you use the recommended settings below in order to correct any problems you are encountering, printing this document will establish if something is going wrong.

Please ensure that you print on standard plain photocopier paper, making sure that you are printing the document within Photoshop. When you have opened the relevant file print using the following settings:

Same as source, 1440dpi, no colour adjustment, high speed turned OFF and media setting selected to PGPP (Premium Glossy Photo Paper) even though you are printing on plain paper.

Please repeat and print the document a further two times followed by a nozzel check. You may need to do batches of 3 head cleans followed by another nozzel check.
